It's good to know that someone else's daughter is pooping in the tub, too! Fortunately for me, Jamie doesn't seem to mind cleaning up those messes (most of the time); he just minds cleaning up the child! LOL!

Hi, Katie! I thought for sure I subscribed to your RSS feed, and I was wondering why I wasn't receiving any new posts! I guess I didn't. I can't believe I've missed a handful! I'm glad I popped in; at least to let you know that Lia pooped in the tub, too! :) Yikes. A totally disgusting experience, eh? But God made those little girls so cute that we'd just clean up after them...

I've tried repeatedly to do menu planning ... and it just does NOT work for me. I think I like spontaneity too much. :) Sometimes I think ahead and know what I'm making for dinner before I get up that morning, but usually not.

My shopping usually consists of buying what's on sale and what I have a coupon for. Obviously, I get things I know we're out of, like chicken or pasta, and fresh veggies. I also keep all staples on hand and stockpile when things are on sale.

I would suggest planning for just one or two meals a week and buying those ingredients. Then plan the rest of your shopping trip around the sales fliers. Keep a list of what's in your pantry/freezer/fridge and go over that with the sales fliers. If we use an item on a regular basis and it's on sale, I'll buy it even though we might still have some. Doing it that way consistently saves us about 50% on our groceries.

I think your schedule is very basic, which not only makes it easy to stick to but gives you a lot of flexibility if you have an unusual day. Good luck sticking with it!

I read blogs like yours! (I can't believe it has taken me so long to stop by!! I usually have just enough time to get my own post up before someone wakes up or I have to go to sleep.)

I also love to have friends to our home; I've learned to find the beauty in interrupted-but-refreshingly-authentic-mommy-talk.

Praise God, Katie! This is such a hopeful post; and so true to God's provision. Thank you for the reminder. It reminds me of a video I saw from the Advent Conspiracy (http://www.adventconspiracy.org).

P.S. Something else He has provided for you is a wonderful ability to write! Thank you!
